    RCBS powder measure

I'm trying to run IMR4046 through this thing and it keeps getting caught on powder. Is this only really designed for ball type powder and not stick type powder?

Sometimes it has to cut through a piece of powder, that is the stuck feeling your are getting.

That is typical of stick powders in most all measures. Not much you can do about it except set to drop low and trickle up.

Well that sucks. I don't like the way it does that and do not trust it that much. I keep getting powder to stick from the previous drop that comes out with the next powder drop. Must be doing something wrong.

Carefully chop the stuck one, and when you hit the down stroke of the handle, bang the handle on the body of the powder thrower a few times.
All stick powders do that in all powder throwers unfortunately

Thanks. I'll have to give that a try. I figured there was a trick to it but wasn't sure what.

Wes hit the nail on the head. The stick powders will bridge in the dropper, just like they do in a powder funnel, nothing a few taps won’t take care of.

Also the RCBS Uniflow measure has a larger drop tube that can help with bridiging. Turning the measure around and seting the handle to drop on the down stroke may help as well.
